Probes for Tubercular Infections

Although Tuberculosis is one of the leading cause of death in developing countries, also in the developed world the number of patients is steadily growing. Drug resistance and co-infection with HIV further make the whole scenario even worse.
We aim at developing novel technologies for the eradication of resistant Tuberculosis, either through the synthesis of novel antituberculars and the synthesis of mycobacterium efflux pumps inhibitors.
