Sabrina Tassini was born in Fiorenzuola d’Arda (PC), on May 15, 1989. She graduated cum Laude in Medicinal Chemistry at University of Parma in July 2013, with a thesis titled “Design and synthesis of potential inhibitors of Enterovirus 71”, tutored by Prof. Gabriele Costantino and Prof. Marco Radi. In the same year, she got the qualification for the profession of pharmacist. From January 2014, she is working on a PhD project, founded by Chiesi Foundation, about the development of new broad-spectrum antivirals for the treatment of enterovirus and rhinovirus infections, under the supervision of Prof. Radi. She is also interested in the development of efficient protocols for the synthesis of new scaffolds, combining the advantages of multicomponent reactions and microwave irradiation.
